Pulse star Jeneil Williams, one of the world’s most enduring supermodels and Vogue covergirl, ended a stellar 2018 with Vogue Spain, then kick started 2019 with Vogue Portugal, to herald a new year of what could well be even greater success. In just the last quarter of 2018 alone, her major assignments included Vogue Espana (14 pages), a new H&M sports campaign, Macy’s, Allure magazine (9 page editorial with lenswoman Tina Tyrell), a Double magazine editorial with photographer Daniel Weiff (8 pages) and the Gap holiday campaign.

The L’Oreal Infallible star also did a new 3Eme Annee iteration of Infallible at the end of the year. As a new H&M ambassador, Jeneil also did an online campaign as well as the sports campaign. In addition to Vogue Portugal, a 6 page editorial lensed by Delphine Diallo, she shot the new Calvin Klein spring/summer performance video at the start of 2019.

Williams is rated by Vogue as one of 5 Jamaicans who changed the face of global fashion. The others include agency colleague Nadine Willis among other greats such as Grace Jones and Stacey McKenzie. Jeneil Williams is a double Vogue covergirl and appears in American Vogue March 2022, the first major editorial outing for the supermodel since giving birth to her daughter Dylan. Williams has also shot the cover of i-D, Love, French and The Wall Street Journal.

Over the years Williams has achieved milestone after milestone, but interestingly, when most careers are at an end, or have at least started to wane, Jeneil’s keeps growing. Her incredible physique is highlighted in several Nike campaigns, for example. Nike has embraced her, not just as a model, but also as the athlete she is (and was at Vere Technical High in Jamaica).

In 2014 she became the first model from the Caribbean to snag a global cosmetics campaign when she copped Infallible by L’Oreal Paris. Jeneil’s legion of fans included the late Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld (who shot her Pirelli calendar and Coke campaign). Today, others such as the highly influential stylist Katie Grand (who picked her for the cover of Love), photo greats Mario Testino (who she met within a week of entering the international market), Steven Klein and former model agent and fashion activist Beth-Ann Hardison (who interviewed her for Vogue’s Style TV).

Jeneil’s many editorials include Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmo and W. Her campaigns include Jimmy Choo, Jean Paul Gaultier, Edun, Nordstrom, Calvin Klein, Motorola, Benetton, Baby Phat, Sephora, Victoria’s Secret, Top Shop and Aldo. She has done runway for Burburry, Fendi, Vivienne Westwood, Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, Marc Jacobs, Isaac Mizrahi, Lanvin, Nariso Rodriquez, Nicole Miller and Prada.

Jeneil has great plans in the works for Jamaica. While not saying too, this big project is likely to have a Jamaican genesis and a global impact. As always her agency Pulse, which launched her international career after her success in the Caribbean Model Search, is proud of her continued success and is particularly pleased with her ever fresh appeal after almost two decades in the major markets.
